OECD 75: Honey Bee (Apis Mellifera L.) Brood test Under Semi-field Conditions

To assess the potential side effects of pesticides on the behaviour and brood development of honeybees, Staphyt’s expert team, based in Southern France at our specialized facility, carries out semi-field tunnel studies (OECD 75).

Our trial capabilities include:

✔️ 3 tested modalities: Water control, test item applied during foraging, and a toxic reference (with 4 replicates each).
✔️ Comprehensive monitoring: Detailed assessments of colony health, mortality, foraging, flight and hive activities, as well as any abnormal behaviour.
✔️ Advanced brood assessment: Precise monitoring of brood development over 22 days, including the calculation of the Brood Termination Rate (BTR), Brood Compensation Index, and Brood Index, using dedicated software.
