An accredited service, regulated tests

Staphyt Brazil has a Quality Certificate in biosecurity issued by the National Technical Biosafety Commission (CTNBio), which allows the company to to carry out studies studies with regulated and commercial organisms genetically modified in laboratory conditions, greenhouses and experimental fields.

The evaluation of the toxin efficiency to control the different target organisms, the characterisation of susceptibility of pests to protein, along with the qualification of GM varieties to the attack of targets are some of the studies executed by Staphyt in laboratory conditions, greenhouses and in the field.

Studies with insecticide proteins or leaf tissue for regulated, stewardship and commercial events

Monitoring Bt technologies applied to major crops, using F1 and F2 Screen. Brazil has strict regulations on the studies and registration of transgenic events or the introduction of new cultivars. Tests of performance of those genotypes can be carried out only by accredited research institutions such as Staphyt Research Station and specialised research teams. Test populations in generation F2 can predict the evolution of resistance in the field by assessing the frequency of resistant individuals. This kind of test is very useful to predict the stability of resistance or the performance associated with it.
