Precision Agriculture in Action: Red Beet Variety Trials in Poland!

Selecting the right variety is crucial for maximizing yield, quality, and disease resistance. To support our partners in making the best agronomic choices, our local field teams are currently managing a highly precise Red Beet Variety Trial in Wola Książęca.

Here is a look behind the scenes at how we set up this trial for success:

🚜 Precision Sowing: Our field technician initiated the trial on April 24th, utilizing a Monosem precision seeder to achieve an exact target density of 500,000 seeds/ha. Proper spacing is critical for uniform root development!

🤝 Collaborative Agronomy: Great trials rely on great partnerships. Base fertilization was expertly handled by our local partner farmer, perfectly integrating the trial into their standard field operations.

🛡️ Targeted Crop Protection: To maintain a pristine testing environment and keep disease pressure at bay, our dedicated Staphyt technician took full ownership of the precise herbicide and fungicide applications throughout the season.

📅 What’s Next? As the crop matures, we are gearing up for the final and most crucial phase: meticulous hand-harvesting, scheduled for early September. Hand-harvesting ensures the utmost accuracy when evaluating root quality, size distribution, and overall yield.
