Welcome Végéphyl: Advancing the Future of Field Experimentation Together!

Last week, we had the great honor of welcoming the Commission des Essais Biologiques (CEB) of Végéphyl to our Dame-Marie-les-Bois field station for their Technical Study Days!

As the agricultural industry accelerates its use of bio-inputs, evaluating biostimulants and biocontrols requires moving beyond traditional visual assessments. We were thrilled to contribute to this evolution by opening our doors, sharing our agronomic know-how, and hosting this fantastic group of professionals.

🌽 A Dedicated Showcase Trial: To support the visit, our local team designed and implemented a specific multifactorial maize trial, testing two different varieties across varying fertilization levels and induced water stress.

Combined with our deep expertise in biostimulants, this complex setup provided the perfect foundation to discuss key concepts from our technical posters: how to accurately measure plant physiological responses, detect early signs of abiotic stress, monitor nitrogen uptake dynamically and compare digital versus human assessments.

📊 Hands-On AgTech Demonstrations: The highlight of the day was moving from theory to practice! Participants had the opportunity to handle the equipment themselves and test the sensors we deploy daily in our biostimulant efficacy trials. The live demonstrations included:

🚁 UAV (Drone) flights for multispectral canopy imaging
🍃 Dualex & SPAD for precise leaf chlorophyll and nitrogen status
🌾 GreenSeeker for active crop vigor assessment (NDVI)
💧 Tensiometric probes for high-precision soil moisture monitoring
